Description
Please be advised navigation is restricted to boats with an air draught no greater than 9ft 0ins / 2.74m at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge on the Weaver Navigation due to water within the pontoon preventing the bridge from being safely operated.
Our local team and engineers are currently arranging for the water to be pumped out and removed from the structure.
Please note if your boat dimensions are suitable for a passage through Anderton Boat Lift, these restrictions do not apply.
A further update will be provided by Friday 12 January.
Updates
We are pleased to advise restrictions have been removed at Sutton Weaver Swing Bridge on the Weaver Navigation, as the team have successfully removed the water within the pontoon, which was preventing the bridge from being safely operated.

Our local team and engineers have established a methodology to pump the water out of the bridge pontoons and the work will be scheduled within the coming weeks.
Please note if your boat dimensions are suitable for a passage through Anderton Boat Lift, these restrictions do not apply.
