7/9/2024Unfortunately works have taken longer than anticipated, and we're now hoping to have to towpath open by Friday 12th July.
We'll be able to provide a further update next week.

We remain optimistic that this will be complete by the end of June. We'll provide further updates as soon as we receive them.
5/31/2024Please be aware the towpath remains closed here. We're working with the Reactive Response Team, looking at possible ways to re-open the access point. Although we don't have a specific timeframe for when this will be completed, we're optimistic that this can be achieved in the next 3 months.
We'll provide a further update on or before Friday 31st May.
3/22/2024We're pleased to advised navigation is now open again. The towpath will need to remain closed for longer while the team come up with a plan for repair.
2/28/2024We apologise for the lateness of this notice.
Contractors have made good progress and are expected to demobilise this Friday, so we're hoping to having navigation open on Monday 26th February. We'll update this notice as soon as we receive confirmation navigation is open again.
2/21/2024Contractors will be mobilising on Monday 5th February. We'll be prioritising re-opening navigation and stabilising the embankment. Please be aware the towpath will need to remain closed for longer.
We're expecting works to take approximately 2 weeks, therefore we're hoping to have navigation open again by Monday 19th February.
We'll be able to provide the next update, hopefully including an official re-opening date, on or before Friday 16th February.
2/1/2024A contractor has been assigned and we are expecting them to mobilise in the next couple of weeks. The contractors will work on stabilising the embankment and clearing the cutting.
The next update will be provided on or before Friday 2nd February.
1/18/2024Please be aware the navigation and towpath remain closed. While it's still too early to put a date on when we can re-open navigation, we'll be in a position to provide a further update on or before Friday 19th January.
1/12/2024The navigation and towpath remain closed. Our Engineers visited the site and found the landslide is larger than first reported. Taking action to open navigation will be our first task, followed by looking at embankment stabilisation and then repairs. Contractors will be appointed to remove the vegetation from the cutting, and then a depth check will be performed.
We'll provide a further update on or before Friday 12th January.
