Updates
Navigation has now been temporarily closed due to the impact of Storm Darragh, which has caused additional trees and rockfall to obstruct the route. Please refer to the new notice for further details:
12/11/2024The navigation remains restricted where the rock falls have occurred. The towpath also remains closed. We're currently unable to provide a date for when the towpath is likely to re-open, as it will require significant clearance works and stabilisation.
We will provide an update as soon as a repair plan is agreed & funding is secured. In the meantime, we kindly remind boaters to please take care if passing, sticking to the towpath side.
8/7/2024The navigation remains restricted and the towpath closed. Engineers still need to attend site to come up with a repair plan. As soon as we receive an update from them, we'll update the notice.
Please take care if passing, sticking to the towpath side.
3/1/2024Please be aware that navigation remains restricted here, as there have been further slippages. We kindly remind boaters to please take care if passing.
The towpath is now also closed. The team will attend site today and we'll provide a further update by Friday 1st March.
