Description
Third party contractors will be removing the existing bridge deck and replacing it with earthworks followed by carriageway and parapet construction.
As part of these works a polyethene sheet, a silt curtain and a boom will be installed on the canal side of the existing sheet pile wall. Divers will be used to install the polyethene sheet from 08/11/23 to 30/11/23 and the boom and silt curtain will remain in place until the planned completion date of the works, which is expected to be 01/03/24.
Banksman and signage will be utilised. The towpath will remain open and users will be asked to follow signed diversion when demolition of the southern deck starts by using a temporary scaffold walkway diversion.
