Description
Third party contractors will be installing scaffolding around Bradley and Forsters Bridge to install a new high voltage cable supply.
The scaffolding will restrict the headroom over the navigation and standards will also be placed on the towpath, restricting its width.
Navigation and towpath will remain open. Signage and banksmen will be present on the canal towpath to control movements. The scaffolding over the towpath will also have flashing beacons so that it is visible at all times.
Updates
Due to delay in construction works, third party contractors haven't been able to complete the works yet, so scaffolding will remain around the bridge and on the towpath until 12/01/24.
12/21/2023Works will be completed by 15/12/23 but scaffolders need a few days after completion to remove the scaffolding around the bridge and on the towpath. All scaffolding will be removed by 20/12/23.
12/11/2023Due to a delay in construction works the scaffolding will be in place until 15/12/23. From that date on, all works will be complete, and the scaffolding removed.
