Description
The pontoon at Stamp End lock has been dislodged during the recent flooding and colleagues are onsite today to assess the situation.
In the meantime, we advise our boaters to avoid using the pontoon as it may not be safe. We will update this notice by tomorrow morning or as soon as we have more information.
Updates
The pontoon at Stamp End Lock has been repaired and can now be used by our customers.
1/12/2024The pontoon at Stamp End lock remains dislodged, due to the recent flooding.
Due to ongoing high water levels and the significant work required we do not yet have a timescale for the repair.
The pontoon remains unsafe and we advise customers not to use.
We will update this notice by 5pm on Wednesday 28th February or as soon as we have further information.
12/15/2023The pontoon at Stamp End lock remains dislodged, due to the recent flooding.
Our team has now been on site with a workboat, but the work required is more significant than originally expected.
Unfortunately, we do not currently have a time scale for when this work will take place and advise that customers continue to avoid the pontoon as it still remains unsafe. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
We will update this notice by 5pm on Friday 15th December or as soon as we have further information.

A workboat is required to carry out the repairs, but due to its current location we are still unable to move it to site until the flood levels come back down.
In the meantime, we advise our boaters to avoid using the pontoon as it may not be safe.
