Description
Due to heavy rainfall overnight the following flood locks and gates are now closed.
Castleford Flood Lock
Ferrybridge Flood Lock
Broadreach Flood Lock
The following flood locks/gates are open:
Leeds Dock (Clarence Dock) Flood Gates
Bank Dole Flood Lock (Bank Dole Lock is closed due to structural failure of downstream riverside lock gate)
With Storm Babet arriving and further rain forecast throughout the day, tomorrow and the weekend the flood gates and locks are likely to remain closed for the next few days and the remaining open flood locks/gates likely to close later today or tomorrow Friday 20th October. River levels will be closely monitored and flood gates and locks reopened when river levels allow.
Please consult the Strong Stream Warning boards and markers at flood locks/gates before venturing into the river sections of the navigation.
