Description
We would like to inform you of our decision to do repair works to Upper Lode lock.
This stoppage is to carry out some essential work to the balance beams on Lock 11. The repair will require this section to be kept dewatered throughout the duration of the works.
The navigation will be closed from 16th October 2023 through to the 17th November 2023 when we anticipate the works finishing.
The works have been timed to strike the balance between avoiding the summer months as far as possible but needing to get work done on the River Severn before the periods of typically higher river flows which would flood out our sites.
