Description
Third Party contractors, AMCO GIFFEN, on behalf of Network Rail, will be carrying out work to refurbish and improve Nether Railway bridge 27 on the River Trent at Newark.
This will involve essential bridge / rail structural improvements and refurbishment incorporating the erecting of a temporary scaffold.
A scaffold will be erected above the navigation which will require the use of a pontoon for scaffold assembly / disassembly. There will also be a reduced headroom for boats passing under the scaffold.
Boats should pass the works slowly and be aware of the reduced headroom under the bridge.
There will be potential delays of up to 30 minutes for passing boats to allow contractors to cease works and clear the navigation.
