Description
A stoppage is required to replace the bottom end mitre gates.
Updates
We are pleased to inform our customers that works have been completed earlier than planned, and the navigation is now reopened.
2/27/2024The Trust has made the decision to delay these works by a few days due to the team being on site for a few extra days at Lock 83.
This means the new start date will be the 1 February 2024, the end date will remain the same, 1 March 2024.
1/26/2024Further investigations have identified more extensive brickwork repairs are required.
The delivery team have looked at several options to complete the works within the original schedule but this is now not possible due to overlapping activities which can't be safely done concurrently and the time required for curing of the brickwork repairs.
Therefore a 2-week extension is required which means we will be on site from the 29 January through to the 1 March 2024.
