Description
A stoppage is required to carry out some repairs to the top gate, which will include mitres and quoins.
Updates
We are pleased to advise, the works at Lock 70 on the Wigan Flight will be completed tomorrow morning (15 December 2023) one week ahead of schedule. The navigation will be open from 8am.
12/14/2023We have decided to delay the work at lock 70 by 1 week. This is to allow craft stuck at lock 69 passage through, before we close the canal again.
The works at Lock 67 & 68 will be delayed too.
The new dates for these works are the 13th November 2023 through to the 22nd December 2023.
