Description
The towpath will be closed from Hildicks Bridge to Teeces Bridge on the Wyrley & Essington Canal. This is for improvement works starting 14th July and finishing 5th December.
The construction and refurbishment of the new towpath surfacing will be done with a spray and chip surfacing. The works will also include the installation of solar powered light emitting diode (LED) lighting system to illuminate the side of the towpath nearest the waters edge.

Works have been complete and the towpath is open again.
2/19/2024The team are making good progress, but have unfortunately ran into some delays. The expected re-opening date is now expected to be Monday 19th February 2024 based on current realities.

8/11/2023Please be advised the towpath closure will now start from Tuesday 8th August, and finish Friday 10th November.
