Description

Please be advised, due to an ongoing development in the area and to maintain the safety of our customers, Marple Services and bin store on the Macclesfield Canal will be fenced off and out of use from Friday 17 December.

As part of the development, a new and improved Customer Services will be built. The development will take approximately 12 months to complete.

We are pleased to advise works have been completed at Marple Customer Services Facilities and will we be open from 4pm today.

Works at the Customer Services Facilities in Marple are continuing to progress well, we have installed Trust Service key locks and we are expecting delivery of signage to site, this week, with the final touches due to be completed within the next coming week.

Works will be completed by Friday 6 September.

8/27/2024

Work is continuing to progress well at the Customer Services Facilities in Marple.

We are waiting on stock from suppliers for our Trust Service key locks in order to complete the works to the new doors.

Once stock is available and have been fitted a further update will be provided on an opening date.

Work is continuing to progress well at the Customer Services Facilities in Marple.

We are hopeful this will be completed within the coming weeks.

Before the facilities are available to boaters, a couple of tasks need to be completed: changing the doors to Trust Service key Locks and provisions and emptying of bins is still underway.

The water points will be available as soon as the contractor moves off site.

A further update will be provided as soon as we have an opening date.

We are hopeful this will be completed within the coming weeks.

Work is progressing well at the Customer Services Facilities in Marple, and the development is nearly finished.

For the safety of our customers, we will be unable to open the site until the final stages of the highway works are completed.

We're hopeful this will be finished within the coming weeks.

Whilst work is progressing with the new Customer Services Facilities in Marple, our contractors have unfortunately encountered a number of delays on site.

Our contractors need to undertake necessary highway works at the entrance to the site, and these works will commence following the Easter period. For the safety of our customers we will be unable to open the site until these works are completed.

A further update will be provided in April or as soon as we have an opening date.

Please be advised that due to recent weather conditions our contractors have encountered issues on site and unfortunately there has been a delay in opening the new Customer Services in Marple.

Due to the ongoing work on site, there are access issues for both our teams to service the facilities, and our customers to safely access the building, as a result we will not be able to open the facilities until after the works are finished.

We estimate the works to be completed in the next 6 weeks and we're hoping for the customer service facilities to be open in March.

An update will be provided as soon as we have an opening date.

The new Customer Services in Marple are set to be complete next month, however due to the site still being an active building site, with customers and contractors unable to access it safely, the services will remain closed until the whole development is complete.

It is anticipated that the third party will be complete early next year, and a further update will be provided in January 2024.

Works continue to progress well in to the new Customer Services at Marple. Whilst the third party contractors have suffered some delays due to the recent adverse weather, the building is near on completion and are now completing works to the grounds and services.

A further update will be provided in November.

Works continue to progress well in to the new Customer Services at Marple. The building is now almost finished, and we await confirmation of when the external service connections will be completed and handed back over to the Trust.

An alternative skip has been placed on the wharf by Bridge 15B, just north of Lock 1 on the Marple Flight.

A further update will be provided in September.

Work is progressing well for the Customer Service Facilities at Marple, the structure of the building is nearing completion, and our developer is currently finalising their programme for completing the internal fixtures.

Further discussions are taking place to look at access to the services to allow boaters to access the facilities before the housing development is completed.

In the meantime, an alternative skip is located on the wharf by Bridge 15B, just north of Lock 1 on the Marple Flight.

An update on progress will be provided in August.

Whilst the building of the new Marple Service Block has commenced onsite, there has been a delay on the third-party development as advised last year.

We are pleased to advise we have sourced an alternative location for a skip for general waste whilst Marple Services remains closed due to the ongoing development.

The skip is located on the wharf by Bridge 15B, just north of Lock 1 on the Marple Flight. Signs to direct customers will be installed onsite as soon as able.

We have been notified of further delays within the development, Marple Services, including skip for general waste, will remain open for customer use till Friday 25 March 2022.

We have worked with the developer to re-open Marple Services for a short period of time whilst discussions continue with the local council.

We are also providing a skip for general waste which is expected to be delivered onsite this week.

The services will then close on Friday 18 February to enable the development to safely progress.
