Please be advised that Stockton Lock 5 will be closed to navigation on Thursday 20 August between 8:00am and 12:00 noon to allow essential repair works to be carried out.

A leakage has developed at the bottom gate and remedial works are required to reline the gate. In addition, an issue affecting the top gate will be investigated while the lock is dewatered.

We will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible and will update this notice should navigation be able to reopen earlier than 12:00 noon.
