Please be advised that Contractors will be carrying out improvement works to the overhead power lines and netting will be suspended underneath the power lines over the canal.

The canal will remain open and the posted headroom of 2.4 metres for boats will not be restricted.

The lowest point of the netting will be 4.11 metres.

Please approach with caution on the week commencing the 17th of August 2026 as contractors will be working near the canal to install the netting and the week commencing the 14th of September 2024 to remove the netting.

Moorings nearby will be suspended for these two weeks and boaters should not moor at least 50 metres either side of the overhead power lines. Navigation and moorings will be unaffected for the duration of the works on all other days.
