A fallen tree is currently blocking the navigation and towpath at Lock 28 on the South Stratford Canal. Our local team will be attending site to assess the situation and determine whether the obstruction can be safely removed using internal resources. Should specialist equipment or expertise be required, specialist contractors will be instructed to undertake the removal works. For the safety of customers and colleagues, both the towpath and navigation are closed at this location until further notice.
