Sykhouse Lock Closure Notice Date: Sunday, 19 July 2026 From 3:00 pm on Sunday, 19 July 2026, Sykhouse Lock will be temporarily closed to allow essential maintenance to be carried out on the swing bridge crossing the lock. A member of the Canal & River Trust will be on site from 2:00 pm to allow any waiting boaters to pass through before the closure takes effect. The lock will reopen on Monday morning, with a member of the Canal & River Trust operating the lock while the maintenance works continue. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
