The Reactive Team will carry out welding repairs to the split mitre posts on both the top and bottom gates to temporarily stabilise the gates until permanent replacement works are undertaken.

The works will involve welding steel strengthening plates to the mitre post areas.

During the welding activities, it is likely that navigation will need to be temporarily stopped to ensure the safety of passing boats and the workforce.

Navigation will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so following completion of the welding operations.
