The Grand Union Canal will be closed to navigation between Camp Hill Top Lock and Knowle Top Lock from Monday 3 August 2026 until further notice. This temporary closure will help conserve water and allow the affected section to recover, supporting the sustainability of navigation on both the Grand Union Canal south of Lapworth and the South Stratford Canal. An alternative route will remain available via the Worcester & Birmingham Canal. We appreciate that this closure may affect planned journeys and apologise for the inconvenience caused. Our teams will continue to monitor conditions closely and we will provide further updates as they become available. We would like to thank boaters and other waterway users for their patience, understanding and cooperation during this period.
