Please be advised that unfortunately, we have received reports that bridge Aldermaston Swingbridge has been struck by a lorry and has sustained damage.

Please note that this is not an asset maintained by Canal & River Trust.

The issue has been reported to West Berkshire Council, who are responsible for assessing the damage and arranging any necessary repairs.

We are currently awaiting confirmation of timescales for remedial works.

In the meantime, navigation at this location has been closed for safety reasons until further notice.
