Passage bookings on the Erewash Canal remain suspended as this section of the canal is still closed to navigation. We are continuing to monitor the situation and assess when navigation can safely resume.

Passage bookings on the Erewash Canal are suspended while the navigation is closed between Long Eaton Lock 61 and Shipley Lock 72 due to low water levels.

Following recent low water levels on this section of the Erewash Canal, and to help protect levels longer term, the stretch between Stanton Lock 65 and Hallam Fields Lock 66 will remain closed to general navigation. Subject to water levels recovering, assisted passage will be available from Monday 29 June. All passages must be booked in advance and will be assisted by our teams.
