Pease be advised that the steps running from the top of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct to the base will be temporarily closed for approximately 6 weeks, with works planned to be completed by 6 August.

This closure is required to allow essential repair works to the aqueduct steps, forming part of the wider Trevor Basin Masterplan. The project also includes towpath improvements along the River Dee footpath.

During this period, there will be no access via the steps, and visitors are asked to follow any on-site signage and diversion routes.
