The stretch between Lock 41 Bank Newton Top Lock and Lock 30 Holme Bridge Lock is currently closed.
Following close monitoring of this section, water levels are very low, and it has therefore been necessary to suspend navigation. The lock gates have been secured with padlocks to help prevent further water loss.
This measure will allow water levels time to recover, and the team will continue to monitor the situation closely. An update will be provided by Wednesday morning.
