Navigation remains closed between Locks 1 and 18 on the Ashton Canal due to the cill on the tail gates at Lock 10 becoming dislodged.

Repairs were initially scheduled to take place, but have been delayed while the team sourced the necessary water pumps to carry out the work.

The team initially due to carry out the repair was delayed while completing other urgent works

As a result, the repairs have taken slightly longer than anticipated. However, the necessary parts are now on site, and our team is continuing work on the cill at the tail gates to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
