The repairs have all been completed and the Stoppage is removed. Boaters due to be moving down the Marsden Flight are being contacted by the team to coordinate the passage through from Lock 42 East to Lock 32 East. Please be aware that the Stoppage at Lock 24 East is still on, so passage will not be possible through Lock 24 East.
We have our team working on the Hydraulics of the lock today and tomorrow the team will be working on the paddles. We are hoping that all the repairs will be completed by the end of day on Thursday 9th April. We will update the notice when all the repairs have been carried out and the lock will be operational.
A navigation closure remains in place following the failure of the yoke connecting the hydraulic ram to the paddle, which requires repair.
We can now advise that works are due to begin this week, with activity at Lock 34E scheduled to start tomorrow (Wednesday 8th April)
We will provide a further update by the end of the week with more information on progress and timescales, and this notice will be updated accordingly so customers can plan ahead, including updates to the Marsden Flight booking system.
A navigation closure has had to be placed as the yoke which connects the hydraulic ram to the paddle has snapped and needs repairing. A notice to skippers, not to attempt to start the flight as there are no suitable pounds to moor in. We will ensure that the notice is updated so customers are are aware when they are able to proceed and can be updated on the booking system for the Marsden Flight.
