The towpath on the Shropshire Union Canal is currently closed between Bridge 120 Rowton Bridge and Bridge 121 Quarry Bridge while contractors carry out tree removal works.
Navigation will also be restricted as the fallen tree is removed in sections. Contractors have advised that enough of the tree will be cleared to allow navigation to continue by the end of the day.
A further update will be provided on Tuesday, 31 March.

Navigation is closed between Bridge 120, Rowton Bridge to Bridge 121, Quarry Bridge on the Shropshire Union Canal due to a fallen tree.
Contractors have been informed, and we await their attendance.
