Due to our teams being required to attend other urgent repairs, the works scheduled at Lock 57 have been delayed. At this time, we are unable to confirm when the repairs will begin.
In the meantime, our team will provide assisted passages through Lock 57.
If you need to navigate through the affected area, please contact our North West Customer Support Team on 0303 040 4040 with at least 24 hours' notice so we can arrange assistance.
A further update will be provided on Friday 3 April.

Navigation remains closed between lock 54 and lock 59 on the Rochdale Canal due a void beneath the tail quadrant at the lock 57.
The engineers have completed their initial inspections, a method of repair has been planned and is scheduled for Thursday, 26 March.
A further update will be provided on Friday 27th March.

Navigation is closed between Lock 54 and Lock 59 on the Rochdale Canal following the discovery of a void beneath the tail quadrant at Lock 57.
Our engineering team has been notified and are on site to assess the situation and develop a suitable repair plan.
