Contractors, working on behalf of the Local Authority, will be crane lifting a new public footbridge into position above the Erewash Canal 600 metres downstream of Dockholme Lock 62 near Long Eaton between Monday, 30th March at 8am and Sunday, 5th April at 5pm. There may be delays of up to 4 hours during working hours, navigation will be fully operational outside of working hours.
An 800 metre stretch of the lower canal towpath will be closed with a diversion in place via the adjacent public footpaths.
