This work has been delayed until Friday 27th February as the lifting equipment for the installation cannot be delivered to site until then.

Crane lifting operations will take place above the canal and towpath for the installation of a new public footbridge 600m downstream of Dockholm Lock 62 near Long Eaton.
During working hours, delays of up to four hours may be experienced. The navigation will remain fully open outside of these hours. For expected delay times, please contact the contractors at 07769 724637 when you arrive.
Additionally, an 800 metre section of the lower canal towpath will be closed for the day, with a diversion in place via the adjacent higher-level footpath.
