The tree has been partially cleared, and navigation is now open but restricted. Boaters are advised to proceed with caution when passing through the area.
Contractors will return to complete the removal of the remaining debris.

Contractors are expected to attend the site this morning. We will provide a further update as soon as we receive one.

Due to a large tree that has fallen from the offside, the towpath and navigation on the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal are currently blocked. For safety reasons, we have had to close both the towpath and the navigation at this location. Our contractors have been made aware of the issue and are expected to attend to remove the tree as soon as possible. We will provide a further update once more information is available. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.
