Contractors working on behalf of the Local Authorities to install a new public footbridge close to Dockholm Lock 62 on the Erewash Canal, will be working over the canal on Thursday 12th February from 8am until 5pm. This is to allow for the safe operation of a concrete pump above the canal.
Boats may be delayed for up to 4 hours during working hours, however, the navigation will be fully open outside of these hours. The following phone number has been provided to check on expected delay times - 07769 724637.
An 800m stretch of the canal towpath will also be closed, with a diversion in place via the adjacent higher level parallel public footpath.
