Navigation remains restricted due to a fallen tree.
We are waiting for specialist contractors to attend to clear the site. This is taking longer than usual due to a backlog of work caused by the recent adverse weather conditions.

Due to the backlog of work caused by the recent adverse weather conditions, our specialist contractors are currently unable to confirm when they will be on site to remove the large fallen tree.

A large tree has fallen and is currently restricting navigation near Bridge 54, Smithy Bridge, on the Rochdale Canal.
At present, we are unable to confirm when the contractor will be on site as they are dealing with a back log from the high workload created from the adverse weather conditions we have currently been experiencing.
