Our Regional Reactive and Asset teams have identified leakage through ground paddle frames that are causing water loss and water resource issues, resulting in regular low levels in the pound between locks 55 and 56.
A lock head dewatering with stop plank installation will be required to inspect and repair leakage through both ground paddle frames.
Navigation closure starting at Lock 55 for safety and water control purposes.
Stoppage starts at Lock 55 and ends at Lock 56, tow path remains open
