Third-party contractors will be onsite near Bridge 43, Punchbowl Bridge, on the Rochdale Canal, to allow for essential works to be carried out to a Cadent gas Pipe Crossing.
These works will be taking place from Monday 01 December, 08:00 to Wednesday 24 December, 17:00.
The towpath and navigation will remain open, however, to be able to carry out these works, scaffolding will be installed at Lock 40. We would request all customers to approach the area with caution and listen to any advice that may be given by the contractors on site.
