A Dragon boat event, organised by Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital Charity, is planned for Friday 19 and Saturday 20 September on the New Mainline.
The event will use a section of canal between Bar Lock Footbridge and Salvage Turn Bridge.
The event will run from 7am on Friday until 6pm on the Saturday with racing between 9am and 5pm each day.
There will be a mooring and navigation restriction along the length of the course.
