The tarmac works to Bridge 91A have been completed, however some delays have been incurred. For this reason, the towpath between Bridge 91A and Butchers Bridge 1 will need to be closed from 8 am on Tuesday 21st October until 12 pm on Wednesday 22nd October. Canal & River Trust apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Canal & River Trust are pleased to confirm that the painting to Bridge 91A, Braunston Marina Entrance bridge has been completed and the scaffolding has been removed. The canal is now open to navigation under Bridge 91A. The towpath between Bridge 91A and Bridge 1, Butcher's Bridge is also open. This length of towpath was due to be closed up until Friday 10 October, however the towpath will now be closed between Monday 13 October and Friday 17 October to enable re-surfacing work to take place on the deck and the approach ramps to Bridge 91A.

The painting of Bridge 91A is going well, however there were delays regarding the scaffold installation and paint preparation. For this reason, the marina entrance will not be re-opened to navigation under Bridge 91A until the evening of Monday 6 October when all scaffolding will be removed. The towpath between Bridge 91A and Bridge 1 (Butcher's Bridge) will not be re-opened until Friday 10 October as improvements to the tarmac surface on Bridge 91A will be taking place upon completion of the painting. Canal & River Trust apologise for any inconvenience this delay will cause.

We are pleased to report that the painting of Bridge 91A is progressing well. However, we experienced delays with the scaffold installation and paint preparation. As a result, the marina entrance will remain closed to navigation under Bridge 91A until the evening of Monday 6th October, when all scaffolding will be removed.
Additionally, the towpath between Bridge 91A and Butcher's Bridge 1 will not reopen until Friday 10th October, as improvements to the tarmac surface on Bridge 91A will be carried out after the painting is completed.

Re-painting of Braunston Marina Bridge 91A https://w3w.co/debating.flight.unfocused on the Grand Union Canal, is to be carried out which will involve installing scaffolding and sheeting to the sides and underneath of the bridge. This work will commence Monday, 8th September and will be completed by Tuesday, 30th September.
Please be aware that for safety reasons, the towpath over the bridge will be closed between these dates. The towpath diversion will be around Braunston Marina where access onto the towpath can be re-gained via Butcher's Bridge 1 https://w3w.co/glove.headrest.scribble The navigation beneath Bridge 91A will also be closed between these dates. For this reason, boaters will not be able to enter or exit the marina whilst the scaffolding is in place, however, access into the marina will be available via Marina Entrance Bridge 1A https://w3w.co/pockets.skewing.informed Please be aware of increased activity in the area and approach with care

Work is being undertaken to re-paint Braunston Marina Bridge 91A https://w3w.co/debating.flight.unfocused on the Grand Union Canal, this will involve erecting scaffolding and installing sheeting to protect the canal and towpath. This work will commence Monday, 8th September and will be completed by Tuesday, 30th September during the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Please be aware that for safety reasons, there will be no access to the bridge whilst work is ongoing.
