Boaters are advised that due to lower-than-usual water levels in the Stourport Basins, particularly affecting wide beam boats, we kindly request that only essential use of the barge locks onto the River Severn be undertaken at this time.
There is currently insufficient water flow through the canal system to maintain normal operational levels in the basins.
While the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal remains open for navigation, it continues to experience reduced water levels.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping to preserve water resources during this period. Thank you for your understanding.
