The towpath over Bridge 71, Porters Footbridge, on the Macclesfield Canal remains closed due to damage to the bridge panels.
Unfortunately, our work boat, which is essential for completing these repairs, has been delayed due other high-priority jobs.
The team are expecting to start this work for the repairs in December.
A further update will be provided on or before Friday 19 December.

Unfortunately, our work boat, which is essential for completing these repairs, is currently allocated to another high-priority job.
Once it becomes available and the required materials have been received, we will confirm a start date for the repairs.

Unfortunately, our work boat, which is essential for completing the bridge panel repairs, is currently allocated to another high-priority job. Once it becomes available and the required materials have been received, we will confirm a start date for the repairs.

Our team are currently waiting on the delivery of the necessary materials. Once these have become available, we will schedule a date to begin the repairs to the bridge panels. A further update will be provided on or before Thursday, 16 October.

Our team has visited the site to assess potential repair methods, and a second visit is scheduled in the coming weeks to finalise the materials required for the works.
Once all necessary materials are confirmed and available, we will be in a position to schedule a date to begin the essential repairs to the bridge panels.

Unfortunately our teams have been delayed with other emergency works and continue developing a method of repair to the damaged bridge panels.
Our teams will be onsite from next week and an update will be provided on or before Thursday, 18 September.

The towpath over Bridge 71, Porters Footbridge, on the Macclesfield Canal is currently closed to all users due to damage to the bridge panels.
Our team is aware of the issue, and a repair method is being organised.
