We are pleased to welcome a long distance running event, organised by The Sunneywood Project between 06:00am and 20:00pm on Saturday 30 August.
The event will use two sections of towpath, one between Bridge 18, Within's Bridge and Wellington Bridge and the other around Bridge 17E, Whittaker's Road Bridge on the Manchester, Bolton & Bury Canal.
Navigation and towpath will remain open, around 250 people are expected to take part in this event. We ask customers to exercise with caution when passing through the area in which the event is taking place.
We politely request all customer to approach the area with caution, listen to the organisers onsite and to take note of any signage installed onsite.
