On Tuesday 5th August we will be undertaking a temporary repair to the damaged anchor block that holds the top offside gate. The work will make the gate fully operational and will reopen the navigation to wide beam boats.
In the longer term a permanent repair, replacing the sandstone coping, will be planned in but this temporary fix will allow the gate to be used until this happens.
