Please be advised that third-party contractors will be carrying out underground cable installation works adjacent to the Grand Union Canal, alongside National Cycle Route 41.
As part of these works, a temporary pontoon walkway will be installed in the canal beneath Bridge 43. The pontoon will be lifted into position from the towpath side, east of Bridge 43. During these lifting operations, short delays of approximately 10–15 minutes may be required for safety reasons.
To facilitate the works safely, mooring will be suspended approximately 50 metres on either side of Bridge 43 (Europa Way) for the duration of the project.
Signage will be installed both upstream and downstream to inform boaters and towpath users. In addition, banksmen will be on site to guide and manage traffic while works are ongoing.
