Please be aware that a large tree has fallen and is currently blocking the towpath and part of the canal itself. The tree is approximately three hundred yards up from Copley Viaduct.
A contractor has been appointed to attend as urgent and remove the tree.
This notice will be updated as soon as we receive confirmation that the tree has been cleared.
