Third-party contractors will be onsite at Deansgate Railway Viaduct on the Rochdale Canal to carry out a detailed inspection.
This inspection will be taking place on Tuesday, 5 August from 7:00am until Thursday, 7 August 7:00pm.
To facilitate the repairs, a pontoon and scaffolding tower will be in place.
Whilst both the towpath and navigation will remain open, we kindly ask all customers to approach the area with caution and be prepared to stop, as the pontoon and equipment may need to be temporarily relocated to allow safe passage.
We anticipate a wait of no longer than 30 minutes, please listen to any advice that may be given onsite.
