Updates

The section between Lock 5 and Lock 16 remains closed. The team have been closely monitoring the navigation from Lock 5 to Lock 16 and there is still very little improvement on the water levels as they are still currently very low. The lock gates have been padlocked to prevent further water loss. This will give the water levels a chance to improve and the team will be closely monitoring the water levels. We will update the notice with any further information on Friday 11th July.

Due to low water levels on the Rochdale Canal, we are closing the navigation from Lock 5 to Lock 16 with immediate effect. The lock gates have been padlocked to prevent further water loss. This will give the water levels a chance to improve and the team will be closely monitoring the water levels. We will update the notice with any further information on Friday 20th June at 4pm.
