National Powergrid have managed to fix the problem with the powerlines supplying Long Sandall Lock. The power has been restored, the lock has been checked by operatives and is working as normal for passage.

6/12/2025Long Sandall Lock is currently closed. Due to the hot weather, power lines have sagged and have caused a nearby property to catch fire. National Powergrid have pulled the breaker and this has resulted in no power going to the Lock. National Powergrid will be attempting to fix the problem this afternoon. We will provide an update by 9am on Thursday 12th June if not before.
