There are some large concrete blocks in the canal, on the towpath side between Braunston Top Lock and the Western portal of Braunston Tunnel. Some of these are below the waterline and so are causing an underwater obstruction...

There are some large concrete blocks in the canal, on the towpath side between Braunston Top Lock and the Western portal of Braunston Tunnel. Some of these are below the waterline and so are causing an underwater obstruction. We are currently exploring options to have these removed. Please keep to the centre of the canal and pass slowly with care. We will update this notice as soon as we have more information.
