We have been advised that this barge has now sunk below the water level and its removal is unlikely. Please can boaters in the area, be aware as only a small part of the roof may still be visible above water. The current position of the boat is ///sculpting.lakeside.reshape
6/11/2025A barge has sunk in the navigation on the River Aire in the section between Beal Lock and Pipe Bridge, Haddlesley. Only the roof is visible and is to the side of the navigation. The What3Words location is ///altering.crash.overlaid Please may skippers of all crafts please slow down and approach the section cautiously and keep to the middle of the navigation. We will update the notice when the boat has been removed.
