The gates are composite and after further investigations are going to require off-site refurbishment. We require additional time at this stoppage to complete the works to the necessary standard. Starting the works a bit earlier will allow us to complete by the original 13 March 2026 completion date.

A navigation and towpath closure are required for top and bottom gate replacements.
