Whilst the navigation has been closed, we have carried out works to the weir and these have been completed. Our teams have been closely monitoring the water levels of the Huddersfield Broad Canal and we are happy to be able to reopen the navigation. Though this canal has been reopened, the Huddersfield Narrow Canal still remains closed until further notice.

Water levels on the Huddersfield Broad Canal still remain very low and the canal is still not navigable at this time. Our local team continues to monitor the situation, and we will provide an update as soon as there are any changes.

Water levels are very low on the Huddersfield Broad and it is not currently navigable. This notice will be updated on 7th April
