Repairs to the paddle gearing completed Lock now open to navigation
Unfortunately the local team have confirmed that this closure is to remain in place until we're able to undertake the specialist repairs.
Please be advised the lock is no longer operable and a temporary closure has now been put in place until the necessary repairs can be undertaken. We'll continue to update this notice with more information.
Lock 44A top gate paddle housing unit not functioning correctly due to unidentified defect. Currently taking 15-20 minutes for lock to fill. Advice to boaters wishing to access or egress the Thames to divert to Isis Lock 46 Updates to follow
